Hi, guys! We’re making our way through January pretty quickly, huh? Don’t worry if you’re dipping in and out of the prompts, either–I definitely am!
So, I really like reading (regardless of whether it’s for language learning or not…) and, especially in the early stages of a language, I like to use Twitter for this because the messages are so short–but they usually make up parts of conversation and they’re a little more informal than a book or article. Hence today’s task:
Use hashtags to find and read tweets.
Take a word from the language you’re learning–preferably a new one, where you might have some vocabulary related to it but not too much. Then, type it into Twitter as a search. If you go onto the ‘Advanced Search’ option you can actually specify the language you want to search in, too, which can be helpful if your word is a cognate.
Then have a read!
Level I: Read three tweets.
Level II: Read five tweets.
Level III: Read seven tweets.
Try and make sure you understand as much as possible, and of course, if you want to read more/note down vocabulary/tweet yourself, then do that! 😀

See you tomorrow!
